Spinks for me is too much, Kovalev IMO has least chance out of all matchups.
If RJJ doesn't get clipped, he wins a wide decision.
Moorer I haven't watched enough to form an opinion.
Tarver IMO is a fairly even battle for my money, might be a good fight.
Adamek gets beaten in a tearup.

So yeah, Kovalev can hang with these fighters. He just wouldn't be a favourite (yet) against the true greats.

Kovelev vs Moorer( MM at Light Heavy was a MONSTER. MM by KO.)

Kovalev vs Tarver( This is an excellent fight. I think it's a 50/50 fight, really. I'd lean toward SK by split decision. Tarver would have his moments.)

Kovalev vs Roy Jones Jr.( SK would KO Roy. Remember, Roy built his "unbeatable" rep facing Policemen, Cab Drivers, Firefighters, etc. The win over Toney was mainly due to Toney's lazy/arrogant nature. He simply didn't train for the fight, properly. If he had, he KO's Roy.)

Kovalev vs Adamek( This is another 50/50 fight. TA was a good Light Heavy. He was also savvy and very active. I can't pick a winner, here.)

Kovalev vs Spinks( MS is one of the greatest Light Heavy Weights I've ever seen. It was his natural weight and he beats SK, maybe even by stoppage.)

Michael Moorer never even beat a lightheavyweight as good as Cleverly. His porcelain chin would crumble against Kovalev.

Kovalev vs Jones at age parity would have been one of the hardest stylistic matchups to predict, ever. I can't really imagine how the geometry of Kovalev's distance control and power vs Jones' speed and timing would work out.

Moorer had a weird tendency to just momentarily stand on the end of someone's punches as if he believed his defense was impenetrable. Kovalev would have hurt him badly.

..."these great champs"? Adamek, Moorer, Tarver really? Seriously these young men are not considered "great champs"

Koval right now would be to green to handle Mike Spinks, Koval hasn't been close to fighting a great fighter yet!
Jones also has too many weapons for the young man right now.
Picking great opponents for Koval is abit unfair since Koval hasn't reached his prime yet and not even 30 bouts of experience.

                If you want to compare against the best then list the best;

                Ezzard Charles
                Gene Tunney
Harry Greb --(he won't have to look for Greb)
                Billy Conn
                Sam Langford
with Jones and Spinks on the list naturally.

Hoping to see him and GGG in with someone who will be punching "first" instead of waiting! I like both young men but they haven't been in very tough
yet and that's when you see what their made of. Right now in his career he would be the under dog against my list.
Give the guy a chance to grow and get some needed experience. It would be great for his career to fight Ward, Stevenson I do think Froch would be out gunned and get stopped with his lack of mobility.

....Adamek a "great fighter" hahahaha....come on sonny........!!
                Ray.

Kovalev's performance vs. a 50 year old indicates he beats everyone.
