Whoever said peak leonard had issues with technical fighters knows nothing about boxing. You never saw a technical fighter beat or seriously challenge ray. It was all time greats that posed a physical disadvantage (height, reach power = hearns) or a beast brawler that ray chose to fight their style (duran) ..still ray beat both when he did his thing. Mayweather would make ray miss but not as much as people figure. Mayweather makes people miss because he always has the reach advantage. Not one fight has he entered the ring with lessor reach. vs DLH they had equal reach. Corrales despite being taller had very short arms. When you add that to his great use of his shoulder role, Mayweather never has to consistently be within the reach of the other fighter in the middle of the ring until he gets in and pot shots, then he is back out. Leonard, Roy Jones, sweat pea etc all had these types of reflexes and vs the caliber of fighters Mayweather fights they all won. They all looked great doing so too. Superior reflexes with reach plus fighters he can do this with , Equals undefeated record. Mayweather can use his superior reflexes and reach to avoid shots in middle of the find the do what ali did and lean back o the ropes and away from punches. Sugar ray has the reach advantage on Mayweather and and equal speed if not better. he has the power , he has not only a left jab or a right cross and over hand, but he also has a huge left hook.. that can catch the shoulder role. If ray used he jab he would easily beat Mayweather. think back to dLH vs may weather.. during first 7 rounds while dlh had his legs he was winning simply with a jab and the fear of his left hook. dLH has equal reach..Leoanrd is dLH on steroids. faster, stronger better stamina, has better jab and not only a left hook but the right hand too. Mayweather loses easily to Peak Leonard. don't confuse 1980 ray to 1986 an beyond ray. totally 2 different fighters and many today point to the shot version of ray as what Mayweather could beat. true. Mayweather beast the leoanard that emerged from retirement. the leoanrd that beat kalule, duran, hearts.. etc. easily beats any version of may weather, just as bad as he beat his daddy.

floyd struggled with zab's speed. there's a reason floyd fights slow guys nonstop. leonard would knock him silly but we know floyd would never fight ray. he would say ray has to join mayweather promotions, ray's not a ppv fighter, demand fake testing only to continually change his demands, fake retire etc...Comment

Actually your probably right there man.
Floyd only fights slow fighters.
Floyd would never risk a fight with such an opponent as Leonard.
There would always be some excuse to either not fight or pull out of the fight. And then there'd be the campaign to tarnish Ray, bummify him as if he was not a worthy opponent and shift the blame for the fight not happening onto him. Or "half" the blame and ******s try to shamelessly offer

omg,,,anyone going with mayweather is a nuthugging reject. the only thing mayweather has on srl is defense and there close in that respect. srl set down on his punches more,,,,,,,threw more combos and wasn't afraid to mix it up. no way in hell Floyd could have potshotted his way to a decision win. srl would have out worked him and either stopped him late or won a ud. not even close!Comment
