WBC Asia Boxing Council light flyweight champion Richard Claveras retained his title with an 8th round TKO over JC Francisco, while Philippine flyweight champion Adrin Diale wasn’t impressive even though he kept his belt when the one-sided bout was stopped at the end of the 8th round by referee Virgilio Garcia.
Francisco who had a mediocre record of 6-8-3 with 2 knockouts and appeared to be an easy opponent for Claveras who was unbeaten in 9 fights with 2 draws and all nine wins coming by way of knockouts ,put on a surprisingly competitive challenge as predicted by matchmaker Art Monis.
