Shock? Who thought Abregu would win lol? I've been watching Ali for a long while now and I never doubted he'd win.

Let's not get carried away with this kid, I can see it already, "Pacquiao be ducking him"...and when he loses, "the kid was an over hyped bum".

Ali looks good, is solid and a decent size for a welter but his power is average and his skill set is ok but not spectacular. He just beat a guy who is barely c-grade, the only reason you people here know him is because of the Bradley fight.

Ali impressed me tonight, although he was getting caught at times when he shouldn't have and he wasn't throwing for what seemed like long periods of time during some rounds. Most impressive thing was him sticking to his game plan and his slickness.

Some good step up fights for Ali from Abregu could be Guerrero, Malignaggi, Porter (he would want to bounce back but if Ali beats him it's a good statement), Marquez, Rios, Alvarado. If he get's passed any of those guys then his next step up should be a Thurman, Khan, Garcia (probably will be a welterweight by then), Bradley, Brook.

Ali really can become a top name in the division and shake it up a bit, will be interested to see how his career pans out.
