I cannot figure out how any promoter could look past him. It makes no sense to me. It makes you wonder how many other fighters like him are out there lurking in the background, with no financial means to even get fights.

Many are Russian as well. It seems that many Russian fighters are being put on american TV no one knew about.

Kovalev has gotten all the breaks and opportunities that eluded Golovkin. It looked dicey after the Stevenson duck, but thankfully he has a Bernard Hopkins in his division who is still willing to take on that challenge.

It's like no one realized just how dangerous he was until it was too late. Kovalev's rise was quick, I don't blame people who still question him. We'll see who and what he is on Saturday.

You have to respect a guy that will actually fight for no pay check to build his name and career, not like these guys that talk **** and say ill fight this one or that one for free but actually want millions to fight tune ups.

I see more and more people picking Hopkins to win, and that's fair but when hes fighting a guy like Kovalev its far from a sure thing. Obviously Kovalev hasn't fought anybody like Hopkins before but I think this is something new for Hopkins too, its more than just another power puncher, I don't think he will be intimidated by Hopkins like many others were.
