Comments Thread For: Amir Khan: If I Shine, I Think Mayweather Will Be Secured

British star Amir “King” Khan (29-3, 19 KOs) believes an impressive victory over former two-division world champion Devon Alexander “The Great” (26-2, 14 KOs) will secure him a May showdown with WBA/WBC welterweight king Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs).

Khan-Alexander tops a Showtime televised tripleheader taking place on December 13th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Khan has been chasing a Mayweather fight since 2012. Other boxers, like Robert Guerrero and Marcos Maidana stepped over him to get Mayweather. He sees Alexander as the final step before reaching his Mayweather moment.

UHHH dude. Floyd only fights bums (on boxing scene). You don't have to shine.

      Eff you mean?

In all honestly I want to see Khan Brook in May at Wembley given if Khan actually wins this one. Not saying I'll be complaining if Khan does get Floyd.

Floyd needs to just tell him he isn't going to fight him already. Its embarrassing watching this delusional clown beg and plead his case.

Floyd's interest in boxing is spiraling. Inside info, he might announce soon

Reminds me a lot about Brook with Khan, but you see how things change with one good win? Khan has had many and provided he gets another the ball is in Mayweather's court and if he says no that doesn't mean Khan didn't deserve it or that he is delusional.

If he had of fought Devon a year ago when he was a champion, then yeah, I'd say Khan deserves a shot at Floyd too. But now...this fight is kind of pointless. I don't see how Khan beating Devon (who is no longer a champion, thanks to Porter) is still a ticket to a Floyd fight.

How many times has Khan said, "This time, I'm going to be a different fighter"??!!

That said. Its a good 50/50 fight. Could be anyone's.
