Does having a wide neck help you take punches? Tyson and Evander had big necks

            Neck thickening, neck stretching and some jaw exercises. That's the only thing you can really do to help take punches better.

              I watched an interview with George Chuvalo and he most definitely believed that a strong neck was integral in keeping his chin so strong. He had one of the best chins ever. To the poster speaking about newton's second, what you are really describing is the conservation of momentum. With that in mind it is much more important for a boxer to know how to roll with punches than to have a strong neck. Change in velocity is much more significant than the change in mass.
