Canelo's trainers will be Canelo's downfall for this fight. They never have a plan B or solid game plan going into any fight. Lara beat Canelo easily and the judges gave too much credit for Canelo for landing body punches that didn't even landed, Canelo looked lost in there and was getting tagged by straight lefts all night.

Cotto's jab will be the punch that will win him the fight. Canelo is banking on his size and will but it won't be enough to beat the smaller cotto who will be tagging him early, if Canelo had the heart and stamina Margarito has he will have a chance in the 2nd half of the fight but the truth is his stamina stinks so I see Cotto winning by split decision or it will be a draw since Canelo is the media boxing darling.

Dang, it's been a minute since I've been on here (work *sigh*). I really like this fight. This is just the type of fight that's good for boxing. Of course, I'll be rooting for Cotto, but may the best fighter win.

I just recently moved from PR to Dallas. Need to find a good spot to watch where they won't try to beat a Cotto fan up!!! Lol

For real though if anyone knows of a good spot hit me up.

If you live in Dallas, every major strip club will be showing the fight for free (cover is usually $3 on fight night (even at the nice places)).
The fight is on at least 50 massive televisions throughout the club, and if you don't want ******* distracting you the whole time, fights fans usually gather around a single area.

I dunno, Lara is a slick extremely hard for anybody to look good against particularly a boxer/puncher like canelo. If anything I think it will be cotto that gets worn down.

Not saying Cotto would've won, but he would've had a much better fight plan and would've executed a lot better. It would've been a different fight, is all I'm saying.
Couldnt agree more, his camp was in shambles, the guy he was with was an assistant i heard? If he had Manny Steward im sure he would have not gone to war as much and picked his shots against Pacquiao, great fight regardless especially first 4 rounds. Dont think he would have won but would have been 8-4 type of fight.

I agree. If you just look at Canelo at the end of the Mayweather fight he just looks awful. I know he's fighting Floyd Mayweather, but he didn't look great in the second half of either the Trout or Mosley fights. You could make an argument about the open scoring on the Trout fight though.

I also agree with you in regards to Canelo's trainers. I think he's let sentiment carry his trainers up the ranks with him when he probably could have coldly cut them for more prosperous trainers by now. I also think this is part of Adrian Broners problem , other than the fact he's a total a**hole.

I say all of this but the reality of the matter is that I'm a Cotto fan. Always have been. It is unrealistic to believe I'm not allowing sentiment to cloud my judgement. How bad would it suck if it was a draw?
