Will Canelo get credit if he beats Cotto, or will Cotto become "washed up" over night
It seems like every time Cotto loses, there's a "valid" reason behind his losing performance. Whether it's his opponent hitting him with bricks, being weight drained, having an off night, etc.. Etc... Thus, my question arises. Will Cotto fans give Canelo his props for taking down the "Taino King", or will Cotto become past prime and shopworn if he happens to lose, thus removing any ounce of credit for a victory over him?
I can't imagine the pain and anguish it would bring to Cotto fans if he happens to lose his "undefeated" record against a Ginger. Especially seeing as how he is the one dictating the terms of the fight, and according to Cotto fans, is the more gifted and technically sound boxer with a monstrous punch once both men step inside the same ring. After all, Cotto "won" the first six rounds of the fight alone based on the purses. Oh, and if Canelo wins via decision, it would certainly be due to rigged cards and bought judges.
Enjoy

Big Cotto fan here. Canelo gets full props if he wins.
They're both fighting at their preferred weights (unlike Canelo vs Floyd) so there won't be any weight draining going on.
Plus I feel like Cotto is rejuvenated with Roach and McMillan in his corner.
11/21 is for all the marbles baby!Last edited by BOXEO _; 08-13-2015, 09:10 PM.

I'd give him tons of credit, Cotto is more than capable of winning this although I'm favoring Canelo slightly.
