I consider this fight for champ at 175 no matter what anyone says. Stevenson doesn't deserve to be called the best in division. I would take Bhop or Kov over him anyway if he was going to be the one actually in the ring with either of them this weekend.

To sum this article up in one line:

*** Aduckis Stevenson and three cheers to the winner of Kovalev v Hopkins.

Yup, I don't see it getting made without a purse bid either because both sides want the majority

The debate is already present. Stevenson is the champ, but he's a limited fighter who caught a damaged champion at the right time. No fault of his own. Hopkins is the old horse. Who actually has the best current resume of the division's contenders. But he's 50. And Kovalev has a lotta hype. But his resume is basically nothing outside of a win over a coddled, European hype job. The best case scenario for boxing would be a conclusive Kovalev win. And if that happens, Stevenson can basically go f.uck himself because he'll become even less relevant without see'n Kovalev.
