Comments Thread For: Roy Jones Jr: UFC Won't Allow Anderson Silva To Fight Me

45-year-old former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. (59-8, 42KOs) is still motivated to face one of the most recognizable names from the sport of Mixed Martial Arts.

For years, Jones was pondering the possibility of facing former UFC champion Anderson Silva (33-6 in MMA, 16-2 in the UFC). Last December at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Jones was sitting ringside and witnessed his dream of a Silva fight go up in smoke when Silva was stopped in the second round by Chris Weidman (12-0).

Him, A. Walker from the celtics and a bunch of the Miami/Florida area millionaire athletes lost a ton of money to the real estate market in the mid 2000's. Warren Sapp is amongst that group too. Roy owned apartment buildings, rental homes, etc and when the market collapsed there went the money.

Forget a boxing match, Roy should accept a UFC fight with Anderson Silva!

Silva knows the MMA version of boxing is a joke inside a real ring. Roy would stomp him, even at 45. Hell, I think even I could beat the **** out of Silva inside a ring. I'm a beast, been training for 10 years, straight up Tyson boxing.
