Comments Thread For: Sergio Mora: A Meaningful Fight in 2015 or I Retire

It’s been a while since Sergio Mora’s last big payday and his last truly meaningful fight. He’s gone from winning “The Contender,” briefly holding a world title at 154 pounds and pulling in six-figure paychecks, to having lesser bouts and purses in the lower five figures. Now he’s signed with powerful boxing adviser Al Haymon, he’s working on changing his style to be more entertaining in the ring, and as a result is getting hit more in the process.

Haymon doing something right. You'd think mora was headlining a card with the amount of press released recently

You should never announce that you're trying to change your style in a way that makes you more vulnerable. Just do it and fans will notice. All Sergio is really doing here is letting opponents know he will be fighting without instinct. Fans won't buy it till they see it anyway.

Dude almost ruined the 3rd quarter of 2010 with that snoozefest against Mosley...haven't thought about him since then.
