Comments Thread For: Zsolt Bedak Goes For WBO Interim Title on 12/6

Hungarian Felix Promotion, headed by Felix Racz, have two big shows lined up for November and December. On November 15 in Tatabanya, WBO # 11 Attila Kovacs will defend the national super welterweight title. In the co-feature super middleweight contender Balasz Kelemen, WBO # 7, will also defend the Hungarian title. Also on the bill are cruiserweight Imre Szello (2-0) and light heavyweight Richard Baranyi (8-0). [Click Here To Read More]

Hope he wins. Would be nice to see a compatriot get into a mandatory position for a major belt. Problem is, he's not that good, euro level at best. His fight vs that domestic level French guy was a huge letdown.

I've always wanted to see Abner Mares get revenge against Zsolt Bedak in the pros for the way he got robbed in the 2004 Olympics. Hopefully Bedak keeps winning so Mares vs. Bedak can become a possibility in the future.

The WBO should just make Bedak mandatory challenger and order Rigondeaux vs. Bedak instead of sanctioning an interim title fight when the champion is willing to fight anyone.

Good idea. Bedak won't duck Rigo because he probably doesn't even know who Rigo is. No lie, the guy is clueless. He literally doesn't care, he just fights whoever his promoter puts in front of him.

99% he would lose but I would really like to see it. And if by some freak chance he won... he would be one of our biggest sports heroes.
