PAC is a very insightful speaker, if you can get over the accent when speaking in English.

Manny doesn't sound anywhere near that intelligible in any language.

He has trouble articulating himself in both English and his native language and his interviews are kept very simple as a result.

Dont you know? Its only "smart business" when it pertains to Floyd.

If I'm not mistaken, Pacquiao only pays around 13% in taxes when fighting in Macau rather than almost 40% here in the states.

It still reads like something a Chinese person would say and not Manny Pacquiao. I keep up on China so I read lots of their English stuff and it reads exactly like this.

                  Its simple math.

U.S tax rate for those making more than $400k/yr - 39.6%

China's tax maximum tax rate for individuals. - 15%.

Pac is guaranteed $20mil per fight.

Arum already gave up on hitting big PPV numbers had the match been held in Vegas. Vegas has high overhead and taxes. Macau is the best location for Pacquiao as Arum can still pay him superstar paycheck; though PPV numbers will be lame. This is a great win-win for Arum and Pacquiao financially. Popularity-wise, it will not help Pacquiao in the US.

Fighting FMJ will be different as the US PPV numbers will just wipe out the tax advantage of Macau.

probably not lol it looks like PR talk to me

But I understand fully why Macau is being tapped by ARum, it makes sense, Manny can still come over to the US and fight a familiar American name and get 700-800k PPV buys but the money isn't the same because of taxes, yet in Macau he gets paid more...less taxes lol Win win for him and his promoter.

Plus, from a boxing fan point of view, it opens up new markets for the sport i love so can't complain. Wish more major championship fights took place outside of las Vegas which is becoming stale
