Why is Devon Alexander such an under rated fighter?

This guy has a deep resume and has taken on some of the most feared punchers in boxing and has beaten them. A two weight champion in some of the most competitive classes and is always ready to take on anybody as demonstrated by his upcoming fight against Amir Khan, but I don't see too many people giving him any props. He is still 27, don't forget.

Bradley beat him and is more likeable than him (doesn't call for race wars against Chinamen) so stole a lot of his thunder.

His biggest win was outboxing a guy who throws 37% hammerfists. Not that I don't like Maidana but it's not a huge accomplishment to outbox him.

He will be a nice test for Khan, but I can't get excited for any fight with Devon in it.

      Who isn't giving him props?

People just saying he doesn't punch hard enough to knock khan out and khan is faster so should win

He has an ugly style & people hate his sounds, but I'm a fan because he's got talent & a nice resume, only losing to the Top 5 P4P Bradley & a close fight against Porter (styles though).

If he catches Khan correctly I believe he can wobble him badly and take it to him leading to a stoppage. If he keeps working on his craft he can become a big force at WW after Manny/Floyd retire.

I agree he's only lost to Headbutt Bradley and a close decision to Porter (don't forget Alexander was recovering from a Injury that time) As a Khan fan I must admit I'm kinda feared for him in this fight.

Hope Khan sticks to the gameplan and gets the job done.

If you're asking this, you might as well ask why Khan is so underrated, he has similar if not better achievements than Alex and is a better, more entertaining fighter.

All in all, it's just that boxing fans are mostly arseholes and are hardly ever fight fans, they are FIGHTER fans. I personally hate Alex, he's a quitter with an ugly style BUT I rate him highly, good, solid young fighter.
