    Danny Williams

Is there a way to stop Danny Williams from boxing, he had respectable career. Just seems to be touring eastern europe and getting stopped. Surely for his safety he shoudl retire. Can they not take his license?

Take away what license? It's up to the legal jurisdiction he's fighting in. New York can rescind his license and Thailand won't care.

If you wanna fight you can find some place to fight period. They even have wheelchair boxing (rumor is team Cotto is looking at fighting the champion).

Well, he should have stopped five years ago and I can't understand why he didn't.

The BBBoC already took his license, after that I think he went to Latvia and got a license there. Last time he fought it was in Germany. Unlike the US fights in Germany (like in many European countries) don't have to be sanctioned by a commision which is part of the government. In Germany there is nothing like a state or national commision run by the government, these are basically private organisations. Worse than that: To run a boxing show in Germany (and in other european countries as well) you don't need a commission which handles boxing as a regulated exception of the law (examples: Sauerland shows in Germany or Haye vs. Chisora). That's why there are not only three boxing commissions in Germany but commissions from other countries come to Germany and sanction fights. Neither of them gives a **** about fighters taken too much damage except in rare occasions. Same applies for the promoters...

Anyone seen any recent interviews with him? He must be sounding pretty punchy. 24 losses 12 by KO. One of his losses was to a guy who's record was 8-45-6
