Comments Thread For: Golovkin's Trainer: GGG Wins Close Nod Over Andre Ward

One of the most requested fights in boxing is a showdown between WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (27-0, 14KOs) and WBA/IBO/WBC-interim middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (31-0, 28KOs). Despite Ward's inactivity, the fight continues to build steam with each passing victory that Golovkin obtains in the ring.

Most experts tab Golovkin as being an unstoppable force at 160-pounds, but they also view Ward as the only boxer within reach who is talented enough to deal with the hard puncher from Kazakhstan.

I'm as big a GGG fan as they come, but cmon enoough already with the daily "GGG trainer says this" or "GGG promoter says that". How about we focus on what GGG himself says, yes?

Man gotta call Abel out on this... In a recent interview he said Ward would make it out the 10th?? and that Ward and his people are posturing, he said that Ward had already agreed to fight GGG at 160????? its on a rival site, but this dude was making GGG sound like the baddest man to walk the planet and his toughest opponent on paper to date is Rubio? wait his resume is - Rubio / Curtis Stevens / Adamu / Murray / Geale / might of missed a bum, but really gonna talk shyt about a fighter who officially cleaned out his division - Froch / Kessler / Abraham / Bika / Rodriguez / Dawson / Miranda / Green / - GGG fans stand up and remind us why GGG is the best and sprinkle in your racist comments which have nothing to do with Boxing, don't forget to dis Floyd because somehow GGG is going to KO him even tho the heaviest he has fought is 150 pounds

              Easy work for GGG.

All those stiff, flat-footed, slow, plodding, no power, "only have a chin, mental toughness and stamina" overrated SMWs that Ward has faced that made him look fantastic would bring him down to earth when he fights a supremely skilled boxer like Golovkin.

Ward bites GGG out of frustration from finally not having a caveman mindlessly plodding forward in front him and gets DQ'ed. If he keeps his cool, he either loses by TKO or GGG wins a decision

I think Wards veteran tactics, and proven strategy would frustrate GGG. Ward wins, clinches his way to victory.

Well.... let's see if Ward sends an offer first.

If he sends a resaonable offer and GGG refuses it'll be a bad look, but you can't exactly run from an inactive fighter who hasn't actually made any efforts to get you in the ring.
