Comments Thread For: Photos: Ricky Hatton, Kostya Tszyu Reunite at Presser

Former rivals Ricky Hatton and Kostya Tszyu reunited at a press conference to promote the November 12th showdown between Anthony Mundine and Sergey Rabchenko. Hatton became a superstar after stopping Tszyu in eleven rounds in 2005. Now a promoter, Rabchenko is one of Hatton's rising fighters. The press conference took place at The Kirribilli Club in Sydney, Australia. Mundine (46-6, 27KOs), a former multi-division champion, will fight Rabchenko (25-0, 18KOs) for the WBC silver junior middleweight title.

I think the tattoos are Hatton's attempt to stay young and wild and tough looking after aging into a pastry chef. Not working very well.

I'm a huge fan of both guys but man I still hate that Tszyu went out like that. How Ricky took punches from a monster like Tszyu but was wobbled or koed by lighter punches is still beyond me.

Hatton looks twice as old as Tszyu and Mundine always looks like a corpse.

Floyd and Pac already tatted his face up. Ricky needed some on his arms.

That PAC fight was strange. I have no problem with the KO punch, he didn't see it and it would have knocked anyone out. But in the first round Hatton went down every time he got hit. He didn't live the boxers life, but he ate punches his whole career and only got stopped by Floyd after the accumulation of hundreds of straight rights right on the button.

Either his chin suddenly completely went or the Pac that fought him that night was supercharged.

The Tszyu fight was amazing, I had an accumulator bet on a few different sports ending with Hatton to beat him. I was on holiday in Spain at the time (I met my wife that week too!) and the few hundred £ I won was a nice bonus!

You have to also consider he was knocked out by erislany Lara in sparring, a week out from the fight. Lara was two weight classes above too. And then his trainer went AWOL. Hatton was a dead man walking that night.
