You only fight for Big Prizes ($$$) when:
1. People buy tickets to your fights..It is called the gate.
2. TV audiences are demanding that you are on TV...It is called public demand.
3. Sponsors want your fights on to sell their commercials or advertise on the ring..It is called patronage.
4. Your TV ratings are high or a network envisions you as a stable fighter or future PPV star.
Rigo has NONE of these.
He got $250k for his last fight !!!
Read the column by Michael Woods about Rigo not wanting to fight anyone. Rigo has been talking about fighting at FW for over 2 years now.
There is a reason that Rigo has been a pro for over 5 years now and has only 14...yes only 14 fights.
He don't want to fight.

His mandatorys are ducking him for **** sake, it's just so sad.
Okay, who are Rigo's 3 best opponents?
1. Corboba on the Pac undercard? He should have lost.
2. Donaire..a horrible fight where he got dropped like 3rd period French...again. He skowed some skills and balls in rounds 11 and 12 to win.
3. Abeko..please, he lost 3 of his last 5 fights before the Rigo fight and looked awful in doing so. Abeko has fought 10 WC fighters. He is 6-4 vs them with 1 KO.
Time for the little man to shut and move up to FW to see if he is truly great or the dude hiding at 122 lbs. in a made-up division like I think he is.
BTW ...He is no where near top 10 P4P list either.

Avolos was getting $ 79 k for that fight.
There were no TV networks that wanted the fight either.
**** Avalos got $75 k for his last fight, he got $ 40 k for ESPN 2 fight.
Why would he fight for peanuts because Rigo is owned by 3rd world promotional company.

Golovkin's become big enough where he isn't facing the problems he used to.
Rigo's where Golovkin was 3 years ago, and unfortunately for him that probably won't change anytime soon.
