I would love this fight but I fear that it might be a TAD too soon for Verdejo, there might be a shock factor in play when he faces a veteran like Salido.

I'm down though. WAR VERDEJO!!!!

He's gotta step up at one point so... I guess this would be the right yet dangerous transition.

The fight I would LOVE later down the line would be Mikey Garcia vs. Verdejo, MX vs PR.... huge fight.

Salido should be shot by then, so it's possible. If Salido still has gas in the tank Bob Arum won't risk another one of his parades being "peeleft: on by Salido.

Salido with a quarter tank of gas left vs. a young, inexperienced Verdejo would be a F.O.T.Y. candidate.
