He's looking for just a title. Shoot, his JWW title was an upgraded interim

Juan Manuel Marquez vs Brandon Rios or Luis Abregu will be the fight when that belt is free

Let's Have Marquez Fight Thurman For A Vacant Belt, If He Won't Man Up To Pac

Thurman is willing to train wreck Marquez early.

Emmanuel will go down in history as the better fighter than Juan.

Yup. Mannys resume is superior; take away Mannys name from Juan's resume, what do you have?

Nothing. Juan's sole purpose on Earth was to give Manny problems. That's it.

Yeah well good luck with that, the young guys at 147 are going to want that belt too if it's up for grabs.

JMM going for another PAPER TITLE. ...just like how he earned a paper title at 140 jr welter. He did nothing at 140. Didn't beat a title holder or top contender, just a lightly generously ranked top 5 in Fedchenko.

JMM is not going for a 5th title, he's actually going for 4. This is worst than PAC's claim on 8 titles after beating Margarito. PAC doesn't say much about it. While JMM is delusional thinking he's going for a 5th to enhance his legacy.

His best win at 140 (143lbs) was beating Alvarado who was previously destroyed by Provodnikov. Ducking Provo made that win sour to me.

Beating Fedchenko and Likar Ramos doesn't impress me at all.

                      Marquez won't go for it

Even at 140, Marquez would rather savor the memory of KOing Pac, a feat unexpected even during the last seconds of the fight. Otherwise, Marquez wants Arum to cough up $20M for his purse, a sign that he doesn't want to fight Pac again. Even his trainer, Beristein, advises Marquez to keep away. Enjoy the memories! Forget Fedchenko, Likar Ramos, Diaz, Casamayor, Alvarado, Katsidis, and the likes. With the KO of Pacquiao, Marquez feels like having won the biggest lottery of all time. Forget 140!
