Well to be fair, they go off what other boxers have said about him, to some extent. Pretty much every person who has stepped in the ring with him believes him to be the real deal, sparring or an actual fight. Trainers praise him for what he's doing in the ring. Yet somehow you guys see something that these professionals aren't seeing. And a lot of them-while obviously talk about his power-refer to his subtle technical abilities that he shows in the ring. You guys think he's some robotic plodder but that isn't the case, at least to me. Matthyssee never got the praise that GGG gets from fellow boxers, not internet fanboys. So the two comparisons aren't the same.

Hahah... you're delusional. PROFESSIONAL boxers from Lamont Peterson to Sergio Mora to almost any other boxer who isn't a delusional hater like you all say Golovkin is a damn good boxer.

Meanwhile you're on a message board crying about him and saying he's only good to fanboys like me...... lol whatever you say buddy. I'll take the word of boxers and trainers who have actually stepped in the ring

bigjames_10 on NSB knows how to judge boxing talent more then pro boxers. lol. like I said..... keep hating!

you said ggg has to earn a fight with floyd, which is ridiculous by the way seen as tho most consider him the best middleweight in the world. ortiz and guerrero fought berto yet they got the fight. im pretty sure if the fight presented itself at 154, ggg would take it.

i dont recall juan manuel marquez having to earn a fight with floyd by fighting at 147 first. see what im saying!!

Matthysse got all the praise in the world, from boxers as well. Teddy Atlas and the majority of writer had him demolishing Danny, Zab praised his power like he was unstoppable too, Tim Bradley was giving him props after sparring (but still gave the edge to Garcia) and the phrase "he's not just a brawler" was everywhere on this site.

GGG does get more shine, but his flaws are being exposed more and more with each incremental step up in competition, so the comparison, while not exactly the same still applies.

this is just one among hundreds of pro boxers who say GGG is a damn good boxer.

But thankfully we have guys like bigjames_10 who can tell us that he's only good to NSB fanboys and not as good as they all think

Of course this isn't going to happen, Floyd is a WW fighter and GGG is a MW fighter. How about we see Terrance Crawford or Omar Figueroa fight Floyd or Manny too?

In all seriousness, don't go out begging Cotto or Canelo. Take short money, go to England and fight Froch. Big fight, credible top 10 p4p opponent, huge crowd, very winnable, and doesn't hurt his status at MW.

win this fight he eliminates any criticism anyone has of him, expands his brand and name, and puts him in position to force Ward in the ring on GGG's terms. giving him a better chance to win.
Lol I feel u bruh...... I actually agree with u. Yo, u think Boo Boo would go up to 60 and shake with GGG???

did you read what I wrote? I said DROP TO 154 and earn it. I also said lara and Andrade, not berto. if he is serious-which he isn't.

Fair point about JMM-but JMM wasn;t on a different network etcetc.

He isn't serious about fighting Floyd at this point. its all about attaching his name to Floyd.

Fair enough on the first part. I could still argue some points but that's not iportant. What flaws are being exposed though?

Floyd is going to 160 for Cotto rematch only-unless chavez comes over to Haymon.
