I agree but the ONLY fight worth pursuing at this stage for Carl should be a do or die against Ward, Carl often talks of his legacy and if this means so much to him he must understand he's not even the best super middleweight around at the moment and history could be cruel to him.
Not even sure this chavez would even train properly, very average fighter at middle weight but the only real weight he really carries is his dad's name ...pointless!

Chavez did fight the top dog at 160 and that can put you in line for a shot against a top dog in another division. But that's usually if you win. That didn't happen in Chavez's case but he did come on very strong at the end of that fight and he's got a bit of a name in a landscape thirsty for them. Chavez wants to get paid, Froch wants to get paid and it's actually an intriguing fight. At the very least you'll be curious to see if Carl can KO this speedo-wearing stoner. For good money in a good situation, yeah I could totally see Chavez doing it.
