Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Promises No More Hoops Until After Fight

Manny Pacquiao promised Bob Arum he won’t play basketball again until after he fights Chris Algieri.

Arum admitted on a recent conference call that he wasn’t at all pleased with Pacquiao’s decision to play in Philippine Basketball Association game on Oct. 19 in Bulacan, Philippines. The 5-foot-6 Pacquiao, who often professes his love of basketball, is a player/coach for Kia Sorento, presumably because his star power attracts attention for the franchise.

Yah... it is kind of disrespectful to his opponent and the event itself. Algieri is already labeled as a crap opponent and to have Pacquiao playing basketball in the middle of training camp doesn't help Arum's case with selling the fight.

**** Algieri though, I don't like that thief. He deserves no respect and a vicious ass beating. Hopefully, Pacquiao gives us a Margarito Part II, only worse.

Manny we all know the fight is a farce, I don't see the problem with you treating it that way. What's really disrespectful is pretending this is anything more than a farce.

As long as he isn't promising to not sing anymore. He's the songbird of this generation.

Pac, no hoops ever, unless you're playing backyard ball with a milk crate tied to a coconut tree somewhere in the Philippines. As far as possible away from cameras as you can get.

What does once having an al haymon avi have to do with the thread topic or my post about this fight being a farce?

Are you sure you know what hypocrisy means?
