You are correct, sir! According to Kathy Duva, Hopkins needed to sign by Aug. 8th @ 5pm to avoid being stripped of his title.

What an idiotic prediction. Let's make a points bet for 3 trillion, I have every outcome except Hopkins via stoppage. Confirm?

My first thought when this fight was announced, was B-Hop by stoppage in rounds 9-12. I still haven't changed my mind. I even made a bet with some dude.

Hopkins winning at all would be something. A lot of people still think of the guy that beat Tito or Pavlik when they think of Hopkins, he's just not the same athlete at all anymore.

Add to that the fact that Kovalev isn't a smaller man here, that he's a knockout machine at the weight, it'd really be something else if Hopkins turned in a classic performance. Historic.

Can't help feeling though, that if he does win it'll ugly as hell and the sort of fight you'd rather forget than remember.

BH wont win this one, but he is an inspiiration to us middle age folks. And he will give Kovalev a tougher fight than just about everyone hes fought. But I must stress again, BH will not win this one. But he wont embarrass himself.
