I think Kovalev and Ward would have a 50% chance, Froch and Hopkins would have a 25% chance depending on how they've aged, none of the smaller guys would beat him, and Stevenson is too predictable.

If you mean prime Martinez then he had a decent chance. In his current shape I wouldn't give him a chance against a random guy from the gym.

I like Cotto btw, top 3 fav fighters, I'd rather not see him again GGG because of that. But if it happens, I'll enjoy a hell of a fight.
      From who? Daniel Geale?

Everybody listed will lose to GGG and lose badly.
Probably Beterbiev, a new sensation at LHW, could have a chance of upset, given his size, power and stellar amateur experience.
In middleweight the most competitive fight could've been with 100% healthy Dmitry Pirog, although I don't think Pirog would've won.

He beats everybody 160 and under; he loses if he goes to 168 and up.

If the fight is within the next 2 years, I would pick him to beat everyone on that list. But it doesn't mean someone like Ward isn't capable of beating Golovkin...but I think Ward gets caught and caught badly.

Ward, canelo, froch, floyd. Is too small and would get wrecked going on late in the fight....chavez jr should be on that list, and i would give chavez jr a good shot.

From 160 down I wouldn't pick anyone against him. But you can't predict what's going to happen when he starts fighting physically bigger men. If he can still punch at 168, he'll be scary there too.

wladimir klitschko has the skill and the physical capability to stop golovkin in his tracks. i also think froch can KO ggg.
