Pac fighting Vargas? Speculation again, but history says that we should be looking for this fight next.

Algieri ain't speculation, we know that!
so stop with that speculation. you said that pac is cherrypicking because he is fighting vargas. you're proving a point with something that hasn't happened yet. i know you yourself could realized that you could not accused somebody of murder if the event hasn't yet. if you entered a department store and somebody accused you of shoplifting and you havent done it, is that fair?

again this is about the dontaenation interview- a channel that as dontae has said devoted in supporting black fighters not boxing in general.

Come on now. The context is clear. He is saying that it was their fault that it didn't happen in 2010 period. Not to mention, that isn't what happend. They moved to 3 wks cuz they were caught lying and Floyd's team offered 2 weeks before arbitration. Floyd didn't walk away, Pac's team did. They make that clear themselves in the the articles that explained the fight was off.

Not probable at all. Why would Floyd authorize GB to negotiate the DAY AFTER Pac beat Cotto if he was afraid of losing. That was Pac at his peak. He never took 3wks off the table. He never wanted ANY cut off, because there is really no reason for it, as Pac has proven since then. All the excuses that they gave were lies. So once Floyd came back and showed that he was the higher draw, he said there would be no more cutoff. Looking back now, I think we can all agree that he was right from the beginning and there should never have been talk of a "cutoff date".

Go back and look at some of Alit, Joe Louis and SRR opponents. Some of them make Floyd's 12:1 make it look like Floyd was fighting SRL in his prime.

Because the better fighters are at 147, that's what! You I know that if it were Floyd moving down to 140, he would be absolutely crusified and once again be accused of ducking the 147 division while it was red hot. Call a spad a spade.

Why would he move down? He has been at WW for years and he is comfortable there, just like Pac is and has been.
      so your answer is A.
"its our fault the fight doesn't happen-
because we dont really want the fight."
the second line doesn't answer the first line. you are wrong in your context.

      the right answer is B:
"its our fault the fight doesn't happen because we havent predicted that floyd is such a diva that he would walk out of the negotiation when we counter-offer 3 weeks"
that is a proper sentence if i could say so myself.

"He never wanted ANY cut off, because there is really no reason for it, as Pac has proven since then. All the excuses that they gave were lies."

well everybody on here would agree with me that the negotiation broke down on the issue of cut-off date.
and also you are saying that because pacquiao has agreed to the no cut off in 2012 he should have agreed on no cut off date in 2009. if time and circumstances is flowing backward then you are indeed right.
you'd forgotten the fact that pac just got knockout in 2012 by a rumored ped user. if pac knows taht he'll get knockout like that in 2009 i'm sure he'll agree to the no cut-off date. im repeating that time and circumstances doesn't flow backwards.

"Because the better fighters are at 147, that's what! You I know that if it were Floyd moving down to 140, he would be absolutely crusified and once again be accused of ducking the 147 division while it was red hot. Call a spad a spade."
how hot is the 147 division really? hot enough that floyd couldn't do any better than fighting a opponent who is 12:1 underdog. it seems it aint that hot to me.
how hot is todays 147 compared to when pac had fought cotto, margarito and clottey from 2009.

      • Not sure why everyone is arguing. Manny wants it and Floyd does not. Same old same old.

Floyd Mayweather Jr: “Everybody’s talking about the title and that Manny is the mandatory. He can have the belt!

Floyd Mayweather Jr: "Does Manny want to fight me? Absolutely he does."

Last year, the top 3 WW didn't want to fight Manny. Manny called them all out.
This year, one of them accepted. Floyd wasn't interested because he was too busy polling between Khan and Maidana.
Khan because he beat what's his name at WW limit? Oh yeah, nobody!
Maidana because he beat a guy who was fighting at 130 a little over a year earlier.
