Don't know why everyone is saying GGG wins easily.

This is a very winnable fight for mayweather. I think he can take him down.

If I were a betting man, my money would be on Mayweather.....

He is very safe saying that since Floyd will absolutely, positively never fight GGG. He might go on about how easily Floyd will beat some other fighters he has no intentions of ever fighting. Mayweather is probably the best welterweight in the world. He has only got two fights left before he retires. Both of these two remaining fights will probably be welterweight fights. If Floyd fought GGG at 154 GGG would knock him out the way he knocks everybody out. While it's true GGG always wins by KO it's also true he is always way ahead of his opponent at the time of the KO. He is an excellent boxer as well as a huge puncher. He has never been knocked down in all of his pro fights and all of his hundreds of amateur fights.

OK now imagine Golovkin with Floyd on the ropes like Maidana had him 10+ times...
Floyd is a very good boxer but he isn't magical or superhuman. Good thing you're not a betting man.

Well the obvious thing to deduce from that is that Floyd would not lay on the ropes against Golovkin.

I think he truly believed he'd be able to handle Maidana at close range in the first fight so he didn't bother moving much and actually voluntarily went to the ropes. Against Golovkin, he'd be on his bicycle the full 12 rounds.

This is what fanboys are good at imagination , IF the fight were ever to happen Floyd would not be still for a second thats just reality of being the faster better boxer . seems fanboys daydream a lot .

Floyd could go WWE style with the stipulations like making GGG would have to climb out of hell in a cell, lumberjack match full of Floyds bodyguards while having one arm tied behind his back and GGG would still murder Floyd. There is no way in hell Floyd would fight GGG and even less of a chance he would win.

It would be an amazing fight to see. I think it's 50/50 though. People do underestimate Floyd, and also how he would adapt. That being said GGG is so big and Floyd is old. It's not a smart fight at all. I think at 147, 30yr old Floyd wins pretty handily against even a 160lb GGG running landing soft shots and moving. His reflexes were so much more crisp and swift. 37 year old Floyd's upper body doesn't have the same fluidity, Floyd would either barely win, or be in a literal life and death situation and get stopped badly.... I'd rather see GGG and Ward or even Lara if you're going to put him in with a terrific boxer.
