I love Shannon Briggs, I think he's great - but, he needs to earn a title shot. Fighting stiffs like **** Carmack is not sufficient to earn a title shot. Fight someone in the top 25 and then come talking

Wilder has bigger fish to fry at the moment. He's gotta first get past Stiverne (and I'm not sure he does) and then he has to face his mandatory challenger Bryant Jennings. Maybe if Wilder beats Stiverne, he can pay Jennings some step aside $$ and then face Briggs.

Having said all that, I really can't gauge how good or bad Briggs looks right now. He needs to fight a credible opponent - someone like Sherman Williams, Kevin Johnson, Derrick Rossy, David Price. You can't make a real assessment of Briggs fighting guys like Carmack
