Lately, there has been a lot of nonsense about Floyd choosing to fight so called flat footed Mexicans, and purposely avoiding Black fighters. Well if the Black fighters of this era were any good maybe they could earn the opportunity to fight him.
Berto fought Ortiz, he LOST
Berto fought Guerrero, he LOST
Trout fought Canelo, he LOST
Broner fought Maidana, he LOST
Lara fought Canelo, he LOST
Mosley fought Margarito, he WON. Guess who his next fight was against, Mayweather.
All these Black fighters have lost their "Floyd" fight so to speak. This isn't about triangle theories, and I'm not saying Floyd easily beats a guy like Lara. There's three points I'm trying to make.
1. First is the race issue, lets get that out of the way. Some Black boxing fans feel Floyd should be a "brotha" and give somebody black a chance to make money. That's foolish in itself. Floyd's job is to take care of himself and whatever else he needs to care of. Nobody should be getting handouts. ALL fighters should have to earn a shot, and the so called "Flat Footed Mexicans" have been doing that on a more consistent basis. How racist would it be if Floyd said, "Like I said before, I only fight Black fighters because I don't want to give no money to no Mexican."
2. Last time I checked the fighters that did the best against Floyd weren't black. Castillo, DLH, and Maidana in the first fight, were Floyd's toughest fights. All the Black fighters that Floyd has fought, only have one good moment, before getting shutdown. They even allow Mayweather to put on an offensive masterpiece because he becomes the aggressor and breaks them down. Some of his best showings have been against Black fighters.
3. My last point, if "Flat Footed Mexicans" are so easy to beat, why is Floyd the only Black fighter of this era that can beat them on the consistent basis? I don't see any other Black fighters making easy work of slow plotters in the WW, JRWW, and JRMW divisions. Remove Floyd from the equation and look at the record of so called "Flat Footed Mexicans" to Black fighters in the past few years. I'm not talking about guys like Keith Thurman fighting C-level Karass and Chaves. I mean fights between B-Level and A-Level fighters.
To close, these great black fighters that Floyd should've fought just don't exist this generation. If they did they would be making just as easy work against the "Flat Footed Mexicans" that Floyd is.
To those who read all this, thanks for your time and please leave your own opinion.
