if roy jones jnr turns up full of steroids he may hav a chance...
Calzaghe's next fight: Roy Jones Jr at the Millenium Stadium

Jones says he's currently weighing 160-170. So he'd have to bulk up on the weights again to get back to 175.Originally posted by mECHsLAVE1. Joe is SMW and the fight will most likely be his first fight at 175. Roy is old hat at 175.
The fight will take place at 168 (Jones' signature weight), I'm pretty sure.Last edited by JuicyJuice; 03-11-2006, 08:51 PM.Comment

Do you guys see that stadium? America or Europe, I'm getting excited just thinking about that place and how nuts the crowd is gonna be that night?
Regarding the fight? I think Prince Naseem comes back before this fight comes off.
Jones does not have his legs anymore. I'm a huge Jones fan and would love a miracle. But I see Joe getting against the ropes(wheres Jones seems to live these days) and going to town. It could happen early or late, but itll happen.Comment

i wont pick another fight or anything like that but joe, if ur looking for another superfight, facing a guy whos lost his last 3 fights, is 37, is all but retired, and hasnt been a supermiddleweight for almost a decade (assuming that jones is moving down, not calzaghe moving up).
calzaghe should take more big fights at 168.Comment

Calzaghe stated 10 years ago that his dream is to fight (and beat) Roy Jones. And also this isn't a legacy fight for Calzaghe, it will be more of an occasion than a fight. It's kind of a homecoming back to Wales, and just a big occasion that Joe has more than earned. Also, the money. Don't forget, 50% of Joe's earnings go straight to his ex-wife. He needs big paydays!Originally posted by TheEvilSainti wont pick another fight or anything like that but joe, if ur looking for another superfight, facing a guy whos lost his last 3 fights, is 37, is all but retired, and hasnt been a supermiddleweight for almost a decade (assuming that jones is moving down, not calzaghe moving up).

And, it will help hype the proposed Tarver-Calzaghe fight if Calzaghe can do a job on Jones.Comment

It's totally ridiculous to think that Roy is walking around weighing 160. LOL Even if he did say that, which I doubt, then it was an obvious lie. If he was currently weighing 160 walking around, then he could fight at welter. LOL C'mon...Originally posted by JoeTheRock7Jones never said he was at 160 he was on Friday Night Fights a week ago and he was at about 182 i hope its at 168 but prolly at 175.Last edited by mECHsLAVE; 03-11-2006, 09:00 PM.Comment

I doubt he's using roids all year round, and that weight is a quote from Jones from not long ago. I'll post the link if I can find it, wait there.Originally posted by mECHsLAVEIt's totally ridiculous to think that Roy walking around weighing 160.
