According to the father and trainer of Omar Figueroa Sr., WBC lightweight champion Omar Figueroa (24-0-1, 18KOs) will not see action again until 2015. There was some discussion of potentially appearing on the undercard of Saul Alvarez's return on December 6th, but that fell through when Canelo suffered an ankle injury and pushed back his own return to next year.
