Murray's the dude who "lost" to Sergio in Argentina. I (and a bunch of others) thought he actually won. But little did we know, that was the in full effect complete & utter shell of himself version of Sergio Martinez.

It was a nice, game effort by Murray, but he gets blasted out by GGG.

Im not counting him out on bum status...This could be a step up fight for both guys. Definitely better than Pac vs Algieri!

Awesome. This is absolutely the best fight possible for Golovkin while he waits for his crack at the WBC title shot (winner of the assumed Cotto vs Canelo fight).

Monaco -- The deal has been signed – unbeaten WBA, IBO and WBC Interim middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (31-0, 28 KOs) of Kazakhstan will fight top-rated Martin Murray (28-1-1, 12 KOs) of the UK in Monte Carlo on February 21.

Golden Gloves and K2 Promotions announced the bout minutes after Murray’s successful WBC Silver belt defence against Domenico Spada in Monaco on Saturday.

Golovkin will go in search of his record 19th straight stoppage while Murray will be hoping it is third time lucky after two previous title bids were rebuffed by the judges.

As I just said (today or yesterday): Murray is free to take Golovkin's Monaco fight... As the Russians there are ready to pay him handsomely... "offshore" (literally)...

The only thing interesting thing about this fight is seeing if Murray's size helps him take Golovkin's shots better. Good enough fight until Golovkin can get the relevant fighters to get in the ring with him. Quillin is publicly ducking GGG, Cotto doesn't seem like he will fight a legit middleweight any time soon, and beyond that the division is pretty barren. I just hope before Golovkin moves up he is able to get in the ring with Quillin and punish him badly. The fact that Quillin is even a factor in the middleweight division is a testament to modern boxing's terrible state.
