Comments Thread For: Arum: Algieri Could Become Huge - If He Beats Pacquiao

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum sees big things for WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri (20-0, 8 KOs) - if Algieri is able to beat Manny Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 KOs) on November 22nd at the Cotai Arena in the Venetian in Macau, China.

Algieri faces Pacquiao at a catch-weight of 144-pounds for the Filipino star's WBO welterweight crown.

Before the June fight with heavily favored Ruslan Provodnikov, Arum picked Algieri to pull off the upset. And Algieri did just that, coming off the floor in the first round to win a twelve round split decision to capture the WBO title.

Did Arum actually pick Algeiri for the Provo upset? I could of swore he was already talking Provo-Pacquiao before that fight even started.

Arum hoping Algieri's his " great white hope " . Regardless of Whoever wins Arum gonna keep them busy with a in-house fight . Rematch if Algieri wins .

Come on everyone knows if you can get a white champion in boxing, and AMERICAN, he has endorsements coming to him. And if he beats manny he's gonna be huge ppv for the rematch. Imagine if this guy can beat manny and floyd. He will get elected President.

Best believe, Arum is on his knees every night praying Algieri wins. Manny is 35 years old and is not as good and ppv numbers are steady declining. Arum sees big bucks in Algieri!!! There will be a mega rematch then he will make Algieri vs Bradley 1 and 2.
