Judges are almost never from the home country in title fights

I always see stuff about "needing a knockout" to win in Germany or whatever other non US-country. The implication being judges are bribed or are simply biased towards the the home fighter for whatever reason. But judges are rarely home country judges in title fights. Maybe just one out of the three. I would think either side is capable of bribing the judges as much as the other. So how does the favoritism work?

?????? In America they are 90 percent all the time from America...and that means nothing..what matters is who has paid them as you clearly see there are ****ed up scorecards in boxing..there is no arguing that at all..you see fighters get dominated and still get a damn draw

The scientific research on the phenomenon of 'home advantage' in sport indicates that the biggest factor by far is the influence of the home crowd on officials.

Now consider how significant that is in the context of boxing where the outcome, if a fight goes the distance, is based on the entirely subjective interpretation of three judges. That's a much more significant role played by officials in the outcome than practically all other sports.

Naturally enough, there is a significant chance of a large and noisy home crowd influencing their decisions, and rendering a 'home advantage'.

So that, in essence, is how it works,

A trend of innocence here. lol.

Surely the promotional outfit doesn't steer these judges to root for their fighters.... NO WAY that can happen!

For small shows they are often local. Smaller shows have a smaller budget and can't fly in officials.
