The HW Division making big comeback !!!

Over the next 5 months, there will be some big HW fights all over the networks and some great fights that are made/almost done deals. I for one am excited as HBO,SHO,NBC, Wealth(AWE) and ESPN all have big commitments coming up in the HW Division. Plus it is a division free from Al Haymon (aside from beast Wilder) so let the big matches flow.

Starts tonight with Povetkin vs Takam. Moves to: Vladdy KO vs Pulev, Fury vs Chisora II, Wilder vs Stiverne, Adamek vs Spoika, and so many other fights coming up.

America has 6-8 legit HW prospects, finally.

If the HW division had fighters like Norton and Frazier the division would still be huge. I want to see a HW ready to rumble at all costs.

To address the poster TotalStud, yes it went away. There has been little to no exciment sorrounding the division for years now. Very little buzz. It hasn't been appealing in terms of talent and matchups.

Now to the topic at hand, out of the fights you mentioned, only 2 are truly good; Fury vs. Chisora and Wilder vs. Stiverne. The rest are the same type of HW fights we are used to.

The true hope of the rebirth of the division rests on the new wave of HWs (Wilder, Stiverne, Joshua, etc) and the very few established HWs (Klitschko, Fury, etc), and how these two waves will colide for the next year or so. Not sure it will be enough to keep the division relevant for more than 3 years. Not enough consistent talent entering the division at a reasonable rate.

Norton was a legit heavyweight, Frazier was smallish.

The HW division is absolutely stacked atm...

                  Wladimir Klitschko
                  David Haye (assuming comeback)
                  Bermane Stiverne
                  Chris Arreola
                  Kubrat Pulev
                  Deonatay Wilder
                  Tyson Fury
                  Bryant Jennings
                  Carlos Takam
                  Alexander Povetkin
                  Mike Perez
                  Dereck Chisora
                  etc etc etc

Tell me when there has been a time when this many guys in the top 15 have been so good+tough+hard to beat at HW?

                  Probably never!

Norton started to box pro aged 20, was skilled but not very skilled. Was very athletic, but not as athletic as today even nearly. Was glassed jawed, got dropped by every serious punching HW he ever faced even by puncher bums like Shavers for instance.

Frazier was JUST a joke. And I do mean JUST!
