Comments Thread For: Walters-Lomachenko Bout Very Possible, Says Arum

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum says a featherweight unification between WBC champion Nicholas Walters (25-0, 21KOs) and WBO king Vasyl Lomachenko (2-1, 1KO) is very possible. Both fighters are promoted by Top Rank.

First Lomachenko has a tough task ahead, when he faces mandatory Thai challenger Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo (52-1, 33KOs). Walters is coming a career-defining victory, a sixth round knockout of Nonito Donaire, who was once regarded as one of the top pound for pound fighters.

Both Rigo & Loma are highly skilled yes but Loma is all action compared to Rigo. People actually stick around to the end of Loma's fights and stay awake throughout.

"it would be silly if they didn't fight sometime next year"
If only Uncle Bob would've had the same enthusiasm to make Gamboa-Lopez in 2010, instead of letting it "marinate". :durr1:

As a Loma fan i would like this fight to see how great Loma truly is. But idk Walters is no joke, and with just 4 fights that are gonna be under his belt i think its a little to soon.

Not style wise but hype and importance.
