Matthew Macklin. Got Robbed of the title against Sturm. Macklin deserved that decision and Sturm got a hometown gift. Macklin was the closest thing to elite that GGG has faced.
GGG has not faced one opponent that had a chance to defeat him. The best opponent he faced was Gaele-and he had as much chance as Salka did against Danny or Caparello had against Kovalev.
That said, he is IMO a slight notch below Floyd, rigo, ward and JMM in terms of being a complete boxer. He is tremendously skilled and I hope he fights someone on his level so we can see those skills.
Yes, lets see if Floyd will give GGG the opportunity to make a name for himself, just like Hernandez did for Floyd. You have to start somewhere don't you? We saw Miguel beat Sergio. Lets see if Floyd can beat GGG, that would be a nice fight.
