Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Not Pressured To Go For KO Versus Algieri

More than five years will have passed since his last knockout win by the time Manny Pacquiao steps into the ring for his Nov. 22 showdown versus Chris Algieri. The bout will come with a welterweight title state, but fought at a maximum catchweight of 144 lb.

Similar conditions were applied in Pacquiao’s last knockout victory, stopping Miguel Cotto in the 12th and final round of their Nov. ’09 clash, one where Cotto—the defending welterweight titlist—was contractually bound to weigh no more than 145 lb.

So Cotto couldnt weight over 145 or that was the CW limit. Cause i do remember both him and Oscar coming in low and telling the party i was with if they forgot how to re-hydrate but im not sure what this means.

dont worry when the fight gets closer the whole manny team will be looking for the ko and well be trying to get back to the days of old when he had a killer instinct blah blah blah blah imo the guy actually has some boxing skills and now that hes getting old i dont mind that hes using them. who cares if some people dont like it the goal is to win in the end and manny has already given plenty to the sport as far as brawls go

              Pac doesn't need a knockout.

An enormous shut out performance will do also.

But go for the knockout lol

Win big Emmanuel so you and Floyd Joy can "talk".

I would love if Manny got a KO but I don't think it'll happen.

If Ruslan couldnt ktfo Chris after making him do a flip, I don't think Manny can either.

Ruslan has nowhere near the skills of a Manny Pacquiao
