I'm actually surprised that someone like Bob Arum or J. Prince hasn't tried to buy out Ward's contract before.
Roc Nations trying to get Andre Ward?

Good news if true. Although I question how easy it will be to satisfy the Goossen interest in Ward. It would be expensive to say the least.
Roc Nation would be spending big on Ward to pull this off, so Ward better make sure he's happy with what he's signing this time.Comment

Lol, just like Arum made a brilliant business move getting rid of Gamboa to 50 cent... They'll do the same with Ward.
Ward ain't no star in boxing. Outside of Oakland he can't put asses in seats a guy of his talent normally can.
He's one of the top 3-5 best boxers in the game, no dobut about it.. But popularity wise, he can't put asses in seats.
And if he does, he won't be able to do it again because he's so boring to watch.
LOL, poor Ward... Thinks he's worth PPV money. He'll never get that Froch money, or Chavez money!Comment

Don't forget that Ward will still need opponents.
We already know Haymon boxers ain't gonna work with him...
Arum probably will be reluctant to as well. haha so how is this good for Ward? Who will he fight?
Right now his best bet is trying to fight Kessler in Denmark. That's a 3ish million dollar payday...Comment

I don't think Arum wanted to buy it out, but he was in Ward's ear back when this all started, likely promising him the Chavez fight if he left Goossen for Top Rank. I'm sure he'd jump on Ward if Ward ever did find a way to leave.Comment
