Has anyone noticed that, even though Arum and GBP are supposedly working together again, no fights have been scheduled between the two promoters' fighters. In fact, the only fight that they are even talking about doing together is Cotto/Alvarez and Arum is not officially Cotto's promoter.

So, not only is Provodnikov not able to get a fight with one of Arum's fighters, neither is any fighters under the GBP banner.

Everyone always comes out and says Arum is lying but for some reason its taken as truth. He is one of the best spin Dr's I have ever seen.

I daydream about that fight. I know neither of them would be the same afterwards and I feel bad but, I want blood! That's a fight that, if properly promoted, could make new boxing fans.

Your bleeder has heart and power but has he been in with another power puncher? Matthysse has felt Garcia's left hook. Hell, he ate it for a solid 5 rounds. Matty has chin and power. Matty has better fundamentals to. Its a fight that could definitely end fast even for my boy but, Ill gladly take Luc for the win in an epic.

It's not that, I know he has the funds but these big fights he keeps talking about never happen. Not one of the big fights he has spouted for the last 5-6 years has happened.

It's no coincidence either that we don't see the big fights get made until after fighters have left his stable. This is getting beyond ridiculous, are people that collectively dumb to keep believing this guy?

Matthysse would win imo because he is much fitter. Provodnikov has real stamina problems.

Arum can do no wrong. As long as he hates Mayweather, people will agree with everything he says. Just like the stadium he said he was gone build.

hell ya i noticed that. i said from day one its nothing but a pr campaign and that every now and then they may make a fight i dont buy it that they are working together besides in a way to monopolize the sport. If top rank and gbp work together they basically can set prices and **** fighters over and make more money i think thats more what their talks are about then making fights

Damn as if Arum couldn't make Rios vs Provodnikov?! That would have been huge in the states.

Arum is at fault here, but it is almost understandable. When he had a piece of Provo, he lined Provo up with good fights against his fighters.

Now that he does not, he is not going to be as easy. He would prefer to keep it all in house instead of risking a hard loss for one of his guys, especially ones that have already been in hard fights recently. If Provo still had a belt himself, there would be more potential reward with fighting him. Provo coming off a loss, is huge risk and nothing to gain.

If Ruslan was the only option to get one of his guys on HBO etc, he would probably risk it. Arum is only doing what every other promoter does. His own guys and pockets will come first. He will do business with others when necessary.
