Kal Yafai... in a dry weight division?

Im a big fan of Kal Yafai, the kid is explosive, carries true KO power and can box pretty damn well.

Now since hes a super flyweight and no disrespect to any sfw's there are some tremendous fighters out there. Kal seems to be in a division where he can't really become something relevant in the world scene.

He stands at 5'5 and can probably fill out into a Super Bantamweight in a few years, I really think he could make it at that weight. If he concentrates on building muscle on his legs while moving up chances are his power comes up with him and remains highly effective too.

He is probably not known outside the UK but he can seriously compete at World level if given the opportunity.

    Your opinions chaps,

The wrath of Haroon "Harpoon" Khan will catch up with him at SFW eventually.

Dirk my man I think when the two meet Yafai will dismantle Butler with ease.

The statistics state Butler is indeed ahead but in reality Butler has been a pro 2yrs longer than Yafai without really making any massive waves.

Tete IBF champ is supposed to be fighting Butler so that's seems like the obvious choice

Yeah I'd fancy Yafai too. I was just suggesting that as a potentially big fight for him at the weight should Buter win the world title.

Yep seems the most lucrative route for Yafai, but realistically he probably needs to move up in weight for the big money fights.

He can sit at Super flyweight and conquer a rather mediocre stacked division or go and make a name for himself at 122

Warren seems to really rate Butler if he was willing to put him in with Tete. I like the look of Yafai but he hasn't really fought anyone of note and the level between European and World is huge in these divisions.

I think super-bantam is a step too far for Yafai, he should remain at super-fly unless he's struggling in which case go to bantam. Wait until he fights credible opponents, I get the feeling you think he's nailed-on to become a world champion.

Roman Gonzalez and my man, Juan Estrada, are a division below. If either of them come up, they'll take over the division.

Yafai fought a guy who was in my class at school. He seems abit cheeky in his interviews but he's a great talent
