    Provodnikov calls out Matthysse.

    http://roundbyroundboxing.com/ruslan...cas-matthysse/

I wish Matthysse was Provodnikov's next opponent...but that would be too good to happen at this point.

These are the kind of matches we need.

Unfortunately, that is the word that's going around. It's not confirmed but that's what's being said a lot lately.

According to this article Provo is considering moving to Showtime. Which is not a bad idea if you're a boxing fan. I just don't know who among these Haymon fighters would be willing to fight him. Most of them are just interested in Salka type fights.

BoxingScene.com has been advised that a deal is complete for WBO junior middleweight Demetrius Andrade (21-0, 14KOs) to make his Showtime televised debut on December 13th against Jermell Charlo (24-0, 11KOs), which is going to take place at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Andrade-Charlo will go head to head with Top Rank's HBO televised card, which is taking place only a few miles away at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Casino. The HBO card will be headlined by the return of former two division champion Timothy Bradley, who faces Diego Chaves.

Ruslan Provodnikov's manager Vadim Kornilov has advised BoxingScene.com that former champion Jose Luis Castillo (66-12-1, 57KOs) is the frontrunner to face Provodnikov on November 28th in Russia. Castillo's son took to Twitter earlier today and announced that the fight was finalized. Kornilov revealed that Castillo was the frontrunner but cautioned that an agreement had not yet been reached.

Fans frowned when they heard Jose Luis Castillo (66-12-1, 57 KOs), 40-years-old, was the likely opponent to face former WBO junior welterweight champion Ruslan Provodnikov on November 28th in Russia. Castillo, once a feared world champion, knows he will be viewed as a huge underdog in the fight. Provodnikov attempted to secure other opponents, with bigger profiles, but he was unable to get them. Castillo was in action twice this year, against overmatched opponents, winning both times by TKO in five rounds.

Based on the recent circumstances, manager Vadim Kornilov indicates that Ruslan Provodnikov's likely opponent will indeed be former champion Jose Luis Castillo. Provodnikov returns on November 28 in Moscow. BoxingScene.com first reported last week that Castillo (66-12-1, 57 KOs) was under consideration but it now appears the 40-year-old will likely find himself in the ring with "Siberian Rocky." Kornilov tried to get other opponents but says the boxers priced themselves out.

Ruslan/Vadim was still saying HBO promises big fights in 2015 for Ruslan. So that leaves me thinking the Showtime deal really isn't so. HBO seems to like Provodnikov enough to not let him go.
