@ grouping Valero in with Pacquiao.

Even worse are those dismissing the notion that Walters, who just picked up a win worth more than Valero's entire worthless career, would beat such an unproven commodity in a hypothetical matchup.

Let's not talk about what could've been, but what can still happen.

I like Walters as a fighter, but he has a long way to go. If he exceeds all expectations and gets past Jhonny Gonzalez and Lomachenko, then we can assume he will move up to 130 for bigger money fights.

At that point, Javier Fortuna, Orlando Salido, and Mikey Garcia are the types of lightweights Walters would have to beat before we can put him on the level of Pacquiao.

Very few fighters can jump up to higher weight classes and continue to dominate as Pacquiao and Mayweather have done.

Nope, he wouldn't. Pacquiao would murk him.

People tend to forget how big a puncher Pacquiao really was at the lower weights. Damn, just look how he hurt iron jawed guys like Barrera and Morales when even a heavier-big-punching welterweight in Maidana couldn't really hurt a shop-worn Morales.

Barrera would also out-box Walters silly.

Marquez would probably stop him and so would Morales. Hamed would probably knock him out too.

Walters is pretty good, yes. But Donaire never was that great, really. He basically relied on reaction shots and catch and shoot with his left hook, it worked because of his great speed and caught people of guard. But when guys started to figure it out (Narvaez was probably the first one) he became mostly unnefective. Donaire is not really a good boxer puncher (he always has trouble with boxers and jabbers) and he can't pressure or fight on the inside to save his life.

Walters deserves the kudos. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.

He has a lot more to prove before we can say that about him vs Pacquaio but Valero is highly possible. People for some reason don't realize that the best fighter that he beat was Tony Demarco, who Broner beat in arguebally better fashion. I'm not sure where the all time great status came from.

There are only a handful of fighters in recent times that could have handled Valero. Pacquiao is one of them.

Morales and Barrera are two others that come to mind, it's a short list.
Valero beat the crap out of Morales during a sparring match its on youtube
