I looked into HBO Go the other day and no live material which is ridiculous because Showtime Anywhere show live feeds on the East channel and the West channel, both required a subscription which is fine......to Xfinity, Direct TV, Dish, ATT, etc. So Showtime offers live and HBO does not. HBO needs to get their asses out of 1st gear and do something about this. But Comcast Xfinity does not let you see tonights fight at 7PM on the west coast because they don't show East coast feeds live, unlike Dish and Direct TV. So you end up streaming the show at 7PM on some free stream - or changing services to Direct TV or Dish.
IF as a boxing fan you live on the West coast and you ever get the choice to go with either Comcast Xfinity, Dish, or Direct TV, DO NOT chose Comcast Xfinity or you WILL have to wait 3 hours to get the fights that are West coast delayed on Comcast Xfinity! We had both Direct TV and Xfinity in my house because my wife only does Comcast Xfinity and she pays for that but I got tired of paying 140 a month for Direct TV JUST to get a few boxing shows live on the west coast at the earlier time zone so I cancelled Direct TV and got an additional box for Comcast Xfinity which is about 15 bucks, but I have to stream the earlier HBO boxing shows that are delayed on the West coast which is fine cause who the *** wants to spend damn near $1,800 a year when someone in my house already has Comcast Xfinity??
I don't have this problem with Showtime because Showtime Anywhere shows the live Boxing earlier on the West coast through their App or on a PC and in HD. So for those few HBO live boxing events that are not live at the earlier time on the west coast, I pay my 3 bucks to one of those login to sites with a dedicated HD stream with no drop offs and if anyone ever shuts them down, I can prove that I ONLY watched HBO which I already pay for every month and have done so for many years. What I don't do is watch PPV fights through a dedicated login site because even if they are overseas, I don't want a nasty email from some online law enforcement. So I would recommend to anyone not to use a pay stream to watch PPV because even though they never go after the viewer and only go after the hosting site, no one wants to be on a list like that. Although since they have a forum, no one could prove that anyone was actually streaming and pursuing IP's is much to do about nothing....they would rather go after the site itself. The pay type of PPV sites have your email and name and information which puts you on a list but your financial information is not on those sites because they use things like Google Wallet. I cannot name the site I use or share it with anyone because I do not use it for PPV's, only for the HBO live coverage that is delayed on the West coast. That costs me about 6 bucks a month as opposed to buying Direct TV just because it offers live HBO shows at a time that my Comcast Xfinity does not.
I remember when the UK had a free stream site and they got closed down. Cant remember their name. One thing no one will ever have to fear is a free stream site because it is impossible to prosecute someone who is watching a free stream, just threaten the host. Unlike downloads and hosting music illegally from shared sites which prosecution can take place.
I went off on a tangent here but it is worth mentioning.
