  • NBC Steve Cunningham-Natu Visinia & Undercards RbR discussion thread

Tonight's HBO doubleheader is very good, but NBCSN's is poor.

Cunningham's obese opponent Natu Visinia has never even fought an opponent ranked in the BoxRec top 400!

Cunningham isn't getting any younger, how does it benefit his career to fight someone like Visinia?

i'm sure his people wanted a soft touch after the amnsour fight. that was a really rough go.

cunningham is trying to do the same thing every other boxer / person on the planet is trying to do. make money without taking a ton of risk.

blame NBC sports. they sign long term deals with promotors, and put on garbage fights.

Steve Cunningham hasn't had too many 'easy' fights since moving up to HW. He's been in with Mansour, Fury and Adamek - all top 10-15 ranked opponents. I hope that he makes easy work of his opponent tonight and gets the KO. I'll be watching since I don't have HBO

My cable/internet bill is astronomical without the added premium channels - I do have SHO though. HBO will be offering an ala carte streaming service soon and I'll subscribe to that.

If I really want to watch an HBO fight card I usually invite myself over a friend or my Dad's - that will be the case with hop-kovo fight

It doesn't benefit his career the slightest, but obviously he wants to stay active, which is his current job.

Steve Cunningham's daughter has some serious heart ailment and apperantly she needs a transplant, so I can't blame him for wanting to earn as much money as possible even if it means fighting some obese bum who outweights him by almost 35 kilos.

I've always liked Steve, I've met him in 2007 when he was fighting Diablo, he's a very cool dude and I wish him and his daughter all the best.
