The Margarito fight never happened and Floyd should take the blame, but Margarito wasn't never near the level of fighter that Pacquiao is in terms of worldwide relevancy, resume, etc. Margarito wasn't anything special. Everyone and their mom want to see Mayweather-Pacquiao happen, even people who barely know who the **** they are have probably heard the "Mayweather VS Pacquiao" topic before. Everyone still want that fight except for the one guy who can't even control his own ego.

He's probably got mountains of debts. He gambles, lives in one of the most expensive places in the world. He's got expensive lawyers in his payroll as he never runs out of lawsuits to settle. He pays for bodyguards, yes men, invests millions in unprofitable business ventures.

He can't get out of the sport because that's how he attracts his lenders. Even 50 cent was duped into believing he'd eventually fight Pacquiao. He brags about it all the time; how he holds the key to the most lucrative fight in the world.

Nah. I don't even believe this guy is worth $250 million. Otherwise, this "health comes first" guy would have retired years ago. He needs the money.

That doesn't mean anything. It was later proven that he was a cheater or at least tried to cheat. 10 years from now, people will only remember Margarito as a disgraced former boxer. Pacquiao's name will be mention in the same breath as the likes of, Duran, JCC Sr, Leonard, Robinson, Whitaker, etc. Pacquiao's name would be the biggest name on Floyd's resume. Only hardcore fans will feel salty that Floyd never agreed to fight a disgraced fighter like Margarito.
