also i think rubio loaded his gloves that night. you can tell because his punches looked slower than usual, he didn't hit lemieux that much but managed to bust up his face and rattle him, and after the fight he never took his gloves off. even during the post fight interview he still had his gloves on.

That, and the fact he was a young kid, who spent his load on trying to take out Rubio early, and crashed mentally. He had no plan b, panicked and got beaten up.

Lemieux's promoter Yvon Michelle said his fights against Guerrero was supposed to be a set up for a Quillin fight but after he annihilated him Quillin backed out of the proposed fight in typical Kid Castration fashion. I would be shocked if it happened now.
