Comments Thread For: Rubio's Promoter: He Will Shock The World This Weekend!

The 50-1 odds against his fighter strongly suggest otherwise, but promoter Oswaldo Küchle has the utmost confidence that Marco Antonio Rubio will shock the world this weekend. The middleweight knockout artist from Mexico faces a major uphill climb as he faces Gennady Golovkin this Saturday at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Few if any give Rubio a shot at being anything more than a competitive opponent for a few rounds. But his handlers have heard that story before—and at this very same venue, no less.

    “Nobody gave Jhonny

He will quit just like when he marched into Pavlik's hometown. Rubio seems like a decent guy and relatively durable, but I would be surprised if this goes 8 rounds (I am hoping he pulls off a miracle)...his power is not as great as his record suggests.Good luck to him and I hope he gets well compensated.

It is hard to put great expectations on Rubio. He has a decent record but defeats against Ouma, Baysangurov and especially Pavlik and Chavez (these for world titles) suggests that he has come short at the most important time. I guess many would like to see a very competitive fight and even some would enjoy seeing GGG getting defeated but I think reality will show Rubio being short again. One thing for sure is that Rubio always wants to fight the best and that is commendable.

Sorry I don't see anything that Rubio does that can possibly give GGG a hard time or pull the upset. But hey if I'm wrong I will give the man nothing but respect but I DOUBT he beats GGG

                I think GGG DESTROYS HIM

I say Rubio could possibly hurt GGG as he has more pop than either Geale and Macklin had for sure. I don't think he will win but I give him a shot to make it interesting though. That said, I hope he beats GGG up, lol.
