If Pacquiao really goes after him and makes a concerted effort to get him out of there; no problem. Manny doesn't spend half the fight walking around and waiting to throw punches unlike Provodnikov. Manny punches his way in and attacks. Whole different ballgame. Best of luck to Algieri.

Exactly! Algeri has no business being in the ring with Pacquiao. Algeri "survived" Provodnikov, and there should have at least been an immediate rematch. Now Ruslan is in Russia fight Castillo? That's fu^ked up!

I don't expect Pacquiao to stop Algieri given his recent track record, but I could see it happening in the later rounds depending on how the fight goes. I also think people are overrating Algieri's footwork. Manny has some of the best footwork in the game, and considering that Provodnikov could find and hit Algieri flush, I don't see Pac-Man struggling to do the same.

Ok, So Rios was wobbled by Alvarado and is a fighter who's there to be hit, Yet Rios was laughing at pac shots. No way he KOs Algueri. Pac haven't had a KO in like 6 years, stop it dude. He's in for a rough night if he thinks Algueri will be an easy fight.

The Rios in the Pac fight was different compared to the Rios in the Alvarado fights. Rios version vs Pac, he was more defensive, had his hands already up on his face to block Pac's punches, he was less looking forward to engage vs Pac, while the Rios vs Alvarado was on that killer instinct, and got hit hard plenty of times from being open trying to land shots.

Nevertheless, Pacquiao was never the "KO Artist" people perceived him to be in the beginning. He did not actually "KO" Cotto, it was the ref who stopped it. Algieri will only get TKOed through doctors or ref stoppage unless Pacquiao hits him hard on the chin.

The last fighter Manny knocked out was Miguel Cotto back on Nov. 2009 (5 years ago) and I am pretty sure he aimed to do the same with the likes of Clottey. Mosley, JMM, Bradley, Rios, etc. but he couldn't get his desire. If it were another fighter the one without a KO for 5 years, the same Manny followers immediately would think that PEDs has something to do with it but of course Pacquiao would have to be the last person in the universe to do such thing despite the many times he has been suspected of using it. Anyway, maybe this time Manny gets the desired KO since Algieri has only 20 pro fights and he just fought on 140 pounds until 4 moths ago and that should be another advantage for Pacquiao.
